The sun shone today for the final leg of our Christmas visiting.

Watching the boys running round the beach with their Grandad was wonderful.

Plus donkey rides, fish & chips and puddle jumping.

My Bearded Designer (aka boyfriend and pops to Wren & Finch) returned from work today with these delicious looking fancies and arms full of flowers! 

Unfortunately for me, looks were deceiving as these babies were stale and the flowers had only days left in them. Fresh (or not so) from the a Cath Kidston shoot he's been working on, they had been under the spotlights for 5 days but looked so wonderful I couldn't bare to bin them!

Its my wonderful grandmas birthday today and although she'd rather forget it, I felt I should pay a little tribute to the lady who taught me many a creative technique. From embroidery, dress making, needle work and aplique to flower arranging, jewellery making, baking and the art of applying ones make up before the husband wakes in a morning!!!

Last Days Of Sun

 We spent a beautiful afternoon playing in the sand dunes at West Wittering with the boys Puddle leaping as the tide went out followed by an early evening BBQ and sunset hide and seek. The perfect end to summer.

Inspiring Hastings

I'm slowly falling in love with this fascinating seaside town.
Unique antiques, junk shops galore with surprises round every corner.
One lazy Sunday, we stumbled across this little gem.
A inspirational homeware store by chef Alastair Hendy (who can sometimes be found hidden at the back of the store serving up delights such as sprats and samphire with parsley and vinegar or spiced fig & nut chocolate). The beautifully renovated building is full to its rickety brim with vintage furniture and simple functional and utilitarian products for the home with hidden corridors and dusty attic rooms that make it more museum than shoplike.

Beauty In Paris

I’ve just completed a commission for a well known luxury beauty brand in Paris who have chosen my Autumn Fall bracelets to send out as their Christmas press gifts this year.

50 bracelets later and my fingers are glowing pink and my eyes are like peep holes but hopefully magazine editors everywhere should be sporting a bit of Alice Eden over the festive period!

The 500 gold plated leaves (all hand polished!!! ouch) and abundance of gold chain looked so luscious and sparkly, Little Wren wanted to put them all in his treasure box aboard his new pirate ship.
